Sustainability expertise
Building a sustainable future with environmentally friendly façades.
Our low-carbon commitment is reflected in the expertise shared within our alliance, with a focus on analysing the life cycle of facades and the development of low-carbon alternatives.
Evaluating impact through life cycle assessments (LCAs)
Life cycle assessments are at the heart of our low-carbon strategy.
They provide a comprehensive assessment of the environmental impact of each project.
The LCA covers all aspects of the project: materials, production, transport, installation, service life and recycling.
Weclad FDES Configurator
A certified and recognised tool for RE2020
- Generation of specific FDES for each of our projects:
- curtain walls (grid and frame) in aluminium or mixed wood-aluminium for Kyotec and Rinaldi
- bio-sourced Panobloc façades for Techniwood
- Provisional FDES from the commercial phase
- Valuing carbon gains: recycled materials, reuse, etc.
Systematic low-carbon approach for every project
By 2030, we are committed to integrating low-carbon alternatives into every commercial proposal.
By 2025, 76% of WECLAD's offerings already included such alternatives.
To achieve this goal, we identify and implement materials and techniques that improve the carbon footprint of each project, while maintaining optimum performance.
Low Carbon Materials
We choose renewable solutions, as well as other innovative materials with low environmental impact.
Recycling and reuse
We recycle glass and aluminium panels and encourage the reuse of existing cladding wherever possible.
Using fewer materials and optimising resources
Our design teams and structural engineers work together to optimise the use of materials, minimise waste and make the most of every resource.
Techniwood is a prime example, with its low scrap rate and maximum recovery of wood elements, highlighting our commitment to reducing environmental impact while guaranteeing high-quality results.
Energy performance of Weclad façades
Façades designed by Weclad, such as Panobloc®, offer energy performance that goes beyond current standards.
Our solutions not only reduce the carbon footprint at the manufacturing stage, but also deliver significant energy savings throughout the life of the building.
